WHAT IS DUAL SPECTRUM CHIRP SONAR?
CHIRP stands for “Compressed High Intensity Radar Pulse.” That’s a fancy way of saying it can show you fish that other forms of 2D sonar can’t. How’s that? CHIRP scans the water for fish similar to the way the seek function on your truck’s radio scans the airwaves for FM stations. By covering a wide range of frequencies, CHIRP produces more accurate, more detailed returns of fish, structure and the bottom.

WHAT STYLE OF TRANSDUCER SHOULD I BUY?
TRANSOM
Mount on the transom (back of the boat). The impact release feature pivots transducer out of the way if struck by an object.
TROLLING MOTOR
Mount on most trolling motors. Low-profile shape reduces drag and hang-ups on weeds.
IN-HULL
Mount to inside of most single-layer fiberglass hulls using slow-cure epoxy.
PORTABLE
Mount on transom or side of most-smooth surface wood, aluminum or fiberglass boats. Heavy-duty suction cup holds transducer at trolling speeds only.
BRONZE
Ideal for large boats and boats with in-board motors. Not recommended for trailered boats. Professional installation recommended.
PLASTIC
Economic alternative to bronze transducer. Mounts on thinner hulls such as aluminum. Not recommended for trailered boats. Professional installation recommended.
ICE
This Dual Beam transducer can be used as or to convert any portable unit into an ice-ready fish finder.
