I bought the 385fta Swivel Seat package this spring for freshwater adventures in Idaho combined with saltwater adventures on the Pacific Northwest coast. After several trips I feel I could not have made a better investment. The carrying wrap is now perfectly constructed with straps without struggling with rolling the boat into a tight fit. Kayak assembly is easy and stability on the water is remarkably good. The removable SUP-type floor helps make the boat easy to clean and dry after use. I use it with a Watersnake ASP24 electric motor for both fresh and marine water. With a 75ah AGM marine battery it will last 2 days of intermittent use without a re-charge. Pace, steering and navigation are a breeze and it has improved my fishing results significantly. The hull is very solid yet light and portable. The perfect tool for some of my favorite hobbies! This is my second boat from Sea Eagle and their service has been excellent - I highly recommend them! I have had my Sea Eagle 385fta for close to a year now. I have used it a few times and so far it has held up well. I have used it in both large river float fishing situations and on the tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay. I have the complete full angler package with the sit on top seat and trolling motor. I highly recommend this package. The kayak is easy to move around with the trolling motor but when using the paddle the kayak moves slow. Also buy the cart that they sell separate for it. You will need it to move it around! The kayak seems to be made of very durable material that I am hoping holds up well. I chose this particular kayak because of its fish ability functions and I like the fact that I can fold it up so it fits in a large duffle bag and stick it in the closet of my basement. We are ever so happy with this boat! Heavy duty and all of us have stood in it without any problem. Easy to blow up using the hand pump, no need to bother getting the electric one, we bought it and never used it. We are out of the car and in the water in about 20 minutes. We did purchase the swivel seat (high back seats are what we have and like the built in pockets on the back of those too) but it isn't a favorite for a couple reasons, takes too long to do it and makes you feel less stable.

We bought a 385FTA in May of last year and loved it so much we got a second one so we could use it with friends and our daughters and their families. They are extremely stable and easy to transport and set up. Within fifteen minutes you can go from packed up in the carrying case to on the water paddling. My wife and I are in our mid sixties and seventies and still find them very easy to use. I would highly recommend the Sea Eagle to anyone. I love this boat. It's sturdy, stable, portable and steers easily. Not as fun to paddle as a sporty fiberglass kayak but very good for paddling with my dog and gear. It won't tip. I don't like the bright white lettering on the side.
