Klepper
Aerius Quattro XT 2 Man 17 Ft Folding Kayak NOS This is a new old stock Klepper Aerius
Quattro XT folding kayak. This kayak was purchased new in the early 2000’s and
has only been assembled twice since then; otherwise it’s been stored indoors, in
the dark. The Jan 2021 price list at Klepper America has the Quattro for $6,690. From the 1997 Klepper dot com website: Weight is 82 pounds, payload is 850
pounds, payload volume is 22.5 cu ft. Beam is 34”, beam at waterline is 25-27”. The Aerius Quattro XT is the “civilian
version” of the Commando Model. It is the only kayak in the world with an
adjustable boat hull. This unique design feature combined with specialized
factory equipment meets the needs of the most experienced paddlers making it te
right kayak for reaching places on the globe where only the utmost in performance
and safety are required. The Aerius Quattro XT is built upon the proven
Aerius Expedition design. In addition to those features in the Expedition
model, the Aerius Quattro XT has a deck-circumferencing lifeline to facilitate
optimal handling in any environment, and numerous equipment tie-down fittings
are convieniently located throughout its length. The most unique feature of the
Aerius Quattro XT are two additional full integrated air sponsons (4 sponsons =
Quattro). This innovative design further increases the loading capacity and
maximizes the buoyancy and safety of the boat. Through variable inflation of
the upper and lower air sponsons, the hull shape can be changed from V to U, enabling
heavy load to be traversed through shallow water. The hardwood frame is
available in black or natural color. The frame of this one is black. Also Included: Two Klepper seats and Klepper
back-rests. Two burgundy Klepper canvas bags are
included for transporting the frame. Also included in a bag with backpack
straps made by Long Haul that I think is large enough for the entire boat and cost
several hundred dollars. The Long Haul bag is Model LHA-002 and is 35" X 24" X 9". All sales are final. Please e-mail w/ any
questions. Shipped UPS in one huge box because Ebay
doesn’t have the ability to include multiple boxes for one item. Also, Ebay wouldn't let me select UPS Ground even though the UPS website states a 60" x 24" x 21" box weighing 115 lbs is acceptable. I am stating this because the Ebay shipping calculator may not be accurate and I only charge the actual shipping cost. Will also consider delivering this for a mutually agreed upon fee. Thank you
