Here is a nice compact hand line for fishing. It is made from oak and is small and lightweight enough to go unnoticed in your pack until needed. It comes rigged with about ten yards of bank line first, then another long section of ten pound test fishing line with a swivel and sinker attached. These are handy as a fishing tool or just for storing extra cordage. Or both. Each one is hand crafted then coated with a food-grade wood finishing oil. Then I hand rub them with my own brand of utility wax (also food safe) to give it some waterproofing and give the wood a nice finish. I do not stain any of them. I make these myself and find them just the right size to take up very little space while being easy to hang on to while in use. These are great for emergencies, wilderness survival kits, or for just plain fun. If you haven't tried hand line fishing you are in for a treat. Much more challenging as opposed to traditional rods and reels, and makes every fish feel like a trophy. Warning though: If you are going after really big fish, such as catfish or salt water species, you might want to think about a pair of fishing gloves as fishing line can be tough on your hands if you are pulling in a fifty pound fish that likes to fight... Hand lines are great for jigging from a dock, bridge, or boat, and you can also unwind your desired amount and throw it out by hand for a short but effective cast. Another good use for these: You can remove the desired amount of line, cut a branch, and make your own makeshift cane pole when needed. That way you are not packing the weight and taking up the storage space with a traditional fishing pole. Shipping Information: My products are designed and hand crafted in my little workshop in Pulaski, TN. Due to the nature of this type of work sometimes shipping takes a couple days. My items are marked for up to five business days handling time but, in most cases, your package will not take that long to ship. Depending on volume of orders at the time of purchase, and quantities on hand, your package will ship somewhere between same day (of order) and five business days after time of order. You will get a message from me after your order is placed giving you an indication of how long it will be. My standard shipping days are Mondays and Wednesdays, and most packages ship within three business days or less. Packages are mailed First Class. Tracking: Tracking information is always provided after shipping. Keep in mind, sometimes the postal service is slow right now, but most items I ship arrive within a couple days. If your package does not show up on time feel free to use the provided tracking information for an update or contact me and I will gladly track it for you. Either way, if it isn’t on time we will get it figured out, one way or another. Thanks for looking at my listings and have a great day. Best wishes to you and yours...
