It has no zippers, which are virtually impossible to waterproof, and it incredibly easy to put on, and take off. The fabric is a 16oz marine grade polyester canvas. The material is woven from engineered polyester thread, then polyurethaned, waterproofed, and mildew protected. The material is engineered to last at least 20 years. It is absolutely not the type that you will throw away at the end of the season. That is how we proudly offer a lifetime warranty. If you don’t love it, return it, on us. If you keep it, enjoy a lifetime warranty, on us. Covering your canoe or kayak is a no brainer. We know from experience. We make these in 2 foot increments, and have one to fit virtually any canoe or kayak out there. The ideal size for your kayak is the 'smallest one that is big enough to fit', unless you really have some outstanding circumstances, and if you do, please just reach out to us. We will gladly help you figure out the best fit. This cover has an elastic cord in the hem to take up slack. It is made to completely cover the top of the canoe or kayak, and the cord 'grabs' around the edges. It fits like a small boat cover.
